Steel Range Hoods

Our steel range hoods are typically done in a custom finish due to the variety of brown and weathered colors, which can be achieved with this metal. Steel is also a popular selection for the straps, namely our hand forged steel, which has a nice variety of texture and color throughout. One of the drawbacks of steel in our sultry, Indiana climate is the ambient humidity can play a large role in our ability to work with this material. As an example, we can achieve blackened steel on the hood body in the dead of winter but it is just not possible in July. Just like all the metals we work with, our custom steel range hoods are TIG welded 16 gauge material.

Light Antique Steel

This simple Traditional Sweep range hood is done in a light antique steel patina; the brass straps really frame this hood off nicely.

Medium Antique Steel

Our Barrel range hood seems to be a popular choice for the steel hoods we build. This particular hood is done in a medium antique steel finish.

Blackened Steel

The blackened steel patina is a stand-alone finish. On this Classic Dome hood, with this patina, it simply does not need any embellishments to make it elegant.

For this Covolo range hood, one of our long time clients was looking for a rich brown finish unlike any of our other stock options. We created a sample, which was approved and this hood was the result.

On this steel Barrel hood a weathered look was desired, so once again we made a custom sample for the client. The sample was approved, and in the end it all came together. You will notice the custom fasteners we had machined which are unlike any other fastener out there.

Hoods such as this Falkner don't come around very often. Our specifically wanted a rust brown patina and we pulled it off seamlessly. The light areas have a vintage effect applied to create contrast between the different areas of the hood
